Tragedy struck a Houston apartment complex over the weekend as a young man's life was cut short by a gunman's bullet. Houston police are actively investigating a fatal shooting that left a 22-year-old man dead at 832 West Greens Road on Saturday evening, as reported by the City of Houston News.
According to the HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Montalvo and Detective D. Higgs, officers arrived at the scene shortly before 9 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. They found a victim with a gunshot wound who had been desperately seeking help, knocking on the doors of residents before succumbing to his injuries. The victim, whose name has not yet been released pending identification, was transported to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Houston Police Department has not provided a suspect description or a possible motive for the shooting. As detectives work to piece together the events that led to this fatal encounter, they are calling on the public for assistance. "At this time, there is no suspect description or motive in the shooting," HPD officials stated.
