Houston authorities are on the lookout for four men following a shooting incident last month that landed a 41-year-old man in the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. The Houston Police Department has released surveillance footage capturing the individuals considered to be persons of interest in the violent encounter, which occurred in the early hours of December 11, 2023, at 8303 Long Point Road.
The Grainy footage, attached to a news release, depicts the quartet of adult Hispanic males who are yet to be charged in connection to the attack. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, has been described as expected to survive his critical injuries after the incident. HPD is appealing to the public, urging anyone with vital information on the case to come forward.
According to the HPD news release, the conflict reportedly began with an altercation between the victim and a group. An unidentified male, believed to be affiliated with that group, subsequently shot the victim before fleeing the scene. Witnesses have suggested that the getaway vehicle was possibly a white pickup truck, but further details of the make and model remain unknown.
Investigators on the case, Detectives A. Garcia and E. Guan from HPD's Major Assaults and Family Violence Division, were on scene following the shooting. The detectives have been sifting through evidence and witness statements to piece together the night's harrowing events. The department has contacted the community for assistance, directing anyone identifying the persons in the video to contact the Major Assaults & Family Violence Division directly at 713-308-8800 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
