Two men have been slapped with charges in relation to a November shootout that sent a trio to the hospital with bullet wounds, law enforcement officials revealed Tuesday.
Michael Anthony King, 37, and Kenneth Darryl White, 25, are facing charges of deadly conduct – discharge of a firearm, authorities said. Their roles in the violent confrontation are now a matter of public record in the 262nd State District Court. Despite the charges, the alleged gunmen remain at large, with police circulating previous booking photos of the wanted men. The Houston Police Department has issued a call for public assistance to track down King and White.
The shooting in question took place late on November 20, 2023, at 1421 Greens Parkway. Officers responded around 10:50 p.m., finding a shot-up scene and three men injured by gunfire. King and White were among the wounded, each having sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the alleged exchange of gunshots, police reported.
According to investigators, it all started when King and White got into a physical scuffle that quickly turned into a more deadly confrontation. "Evidence and witness statements determined White and King were involved in a physical altercation that escalated into a shooting," HPD detectives disclosed. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office working closely with law enforcement to build the case against the two men. The wounded were discovered at different locations, with White found at 1350 Greens Parkway, and the other two injured men, ages 26 and 28, ferried by private vehicle from the primary scene of the crime.
