A woman identified as Kathleen Rivas is now on the wanted list for assaulting a law enforcement officer, following a disturbance in a residential Houston neighborhood, according to authorities.

The scuffle occurred on January 11 when deputies responded to a call about a suspicious woman on a front yard along the 11600 block of Aspenway Drive. Rivas reportedly became verbally aggressive and actively resisted when officers tried to detain her, scratching one deputy on the neck and face, inflicting pain and visible injuries. "While attempting to detain her, she physically resisted and scratched a deputy on the neck and face multiple times, causing pain and visible injury," stated a post from the precinct's official Facebook page.

Subdued after a brief confrontation, Rivas was taken to a local hospital due to signs of being under the influence of an unnamed substance. With the situation contained, Constable Deputies reached out to the District Attorney's Office for a warrant, which was swiftly issued.

The office of Constable Mark Herman released an update saying, "Kathleen Rivas is currently wanted by law enforcement for Assault on a Peace Officer. Her bond has not been set out of the 338th District Court." According to the Facebook notice, the accused remains at large while law enforcement officials urge those with any knowledge of her whereabouts to come forward and provide assistance in her apprehension.
