
A 24-year-old man from Lenox Township has been detained following a deadly stabbing on Sunday night, as reported by the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. The incident occurred at around 10:30 p.m. within the confines of the Millstone Pond Mobile Home Park, located in the 57000 block of Millstone Pond Boulevard.
According to The Detroit News, emergency services were dispatched after receiving reports of the stabbing. Upon their arrival, they witnessed a life-saving attempt by a bystander, which deputies joined, unfortunately, the victim was declared dead at the scene. The suspect was apprehended shortly thereafter without further incident and was brought to the Macomb County Jail.
The identity of the victim has not been disclosed, with officials from the Macomb County Sheriff's Office opting to withhold these details amid an ongoing investigation. As stated in a Macomb Daily report, the suspect was held by police on Monday morning, with investigators pressing forward with their case to uncover the events that transpired that night.
MCSO Public Information Officer Jennifer Putney made a statement to WWJ Newsradio 950 on Monday morning, she confirmed the arrest but did not reveal further information about the victim including whether they were male or female.
