
A man is in the hospital after being shot in the neck at a Southwest Houston hookah bar in the earlier today. The Houston Police Department responded to a call at the H&K Hookah Lounge on the 5900 block of Gulfton Street, Click2Houston reports.
The incident occurred just before 2 a.m.,, when officers from the 17th patrol division arrived to find the injured man. According to the report, after being shot the man traveled from the back of the bar to the front, whereupon the employees locked him outside. It was there that police discovered him before transporting him to the hospital.
The victim was provided aid by the Houston Fire Department and, according to CW39, was undergoing surgery at last check. His current condition remains unknown, and authorities have not released his identity.
No suspects have been named; and, the motivation behind the shooting is still to be determined.
