A routine traffic stop on the Tomball Parkway turned into a significant arrest when authorities nabbed a man wanted for assault. The incident, which transpired on January 24, involved a deputy from Constable Mark Herman's Office, who pulled over the driver later identified as Rephael Hanks.
According to a statement from Constable Mark Herman's Office, Hanks had an open arrest warrant. The discovery swiftly shifted the nature of the stop as law enforcement personnel moved to apprehend Hanks on the charge."Rephael was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant. His bond was set at $1,000.00 out of County Court 5." the Constable stated.
The Harris County Jail records indicate that Hanks remains incarcerated pending the payment of bond. In the interim, the specifics of the assault charge and the circumstances that led to the open warrant remain under wraps, but Hanks is now facing the consequences of the allegations leveled against him.
