Details coming out of Marriott's camp state that executives are all buzzed about the fresh opportunities these apartments will offer the discerning nomad. "Marriott is thrilled to bring Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy to our development community around the world," stated Leeny Oberg, who straddles the roles of executive vice president of development and chief financial officer, in a report from DBusiness. Each unit is promising to be a slice of home with features like a full kitchen, living room, and the cherished in-unit washer and dryer.

The Motor City is set to rev up with approximately 92 units at The Plaza Apartments in Midtown Detroit, under the stewardship of The Roxbury Group. Meanwhile, Midas Hospitality is slated to roll out a 50-unit property in conjunction with a new Sheraton Hotel in downtown St. Louis, as reported by Marriott News Center. Clearly in tune with the historic vibe of their locales, both establishments are expected to open their doors in the third quarter of 2024.

Europe and the Middle East are not left out of Marriott's blueprint for domination, with Courmayeur and the plush island destination Sindalah ready to join the parade. The Italian retreat, a project partnered with asset management company Castello Sgr, will boast 47 units nestled in the Aosta Valley. The luxurious NEOM-owned Sindalah is gearing up for 218 units catering to the high-end market, as indicated by Nasdaq. These properties are not simple rest stops; they're destinations promising Marriott's signature blend of sophistication and local flavor.

With these developments, Marriott is not merely expanding its portfolio – it's responding to a demand for versatile, elongated stays.
