
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has announced the safe recovery of at-risk missing person Felix Enriquez-Chavez in Little Rock. According to a bulletin from the Sheriff's Information Bureau, vigorous efforts from local authorities and community members played a key role in locating Mr. Enriquez-Chavez, who suffers from a cognitive disability and was last seen on December 29, 2023.
Before being found, the 45-year-old Hispanic male was last observed near the intersection of East Avenue V and 87th Street East, Enriquez-Chavez is described as being 5’10” tall, 170 lbs with black hair and brown eyes. He notably has a 6-inch scar on his right shin and was wearing a distinctive red zip-up jacket adorned with an "A" on the front paired with gray sweatpants.
The initial alert was disseminated through various channels, including a Nixle alert, urging residents to register for urgent text notifications.
Citizens were encouraged to report any information to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Missing Persons Detail and were provided options for anonymous tips through "Crime Stoppers," reflecting the community-driven ethos inherent in such search operations. No further details surrounding the circumstances of Enriquez-Chavez's disappearance or the manner of his discovery have been released at this time.
