The saga surrounding OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney has taken another twist as authorities arrested her parents for allegedly accessing her slain boyfriend's laptop without authorization. Kim Dewayne Clenney, 60, and Deborah Lyn Clenney, 57, were taken into custody Tuesday on felony charges of unauthorized access to a computer or electronic device, as per arrest warrants reported by NBC6. The couple was arrested in Texas and are awaiting extradition proceedings.
Details from the warrants revealed by NBC6 show that the Clenneys, after the killing of Christian Obumseli, engaged in group chats with their daughter's attorneys, discussing how to access Obumseli's laptop. Messages included Kim Clenney's expression of success upon guessing the correct PIN, saying, "Hell yeah! That PIN worked!". However, their attorney has called the charges against the Clenneys a "power play by prosecutors to control the narrative," as revealed in a statement to NBC6.
The turmoil doesn't end there, with CBS News Miami obtaining troubling video footage showing Clenney hitting Obumseli during the months leading up to his death. The violence was captured during a trip to Aspen, and additional video from an elevator altercation in Miami suggests a history of physical confrontations. Meanwhile, the couple was embroiled in what prosecutors have termed an "extremely tempestuous and combative relationship," explained Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle to hoodline.
Courtney Clenney, herself, is currently in jail and faces a second-degree murder charge for the death of Obumseli. The pair, both 27 at the time of the incident, had moved from Texas to South Florida before Obumseli was fatally stabbed in April 2022. Clenney's attorneys claim self-defense, while Obumseli's family lawyer, Larry Handfield, believes the recent arrests of the Clenneys underscore a "cover-up" and demonstrate that the stabbing was not, in fact, an act of self-defense, as stated to NBC6.
