Authorities locked down on a suspect accused of shoplifting $140 worth of goods from a business on Kuykendahl Road, this was confirmed by law enforcement Monday. Constables from Mark Herman's office received the call and were quick to respond, ultimately catching up with the individual believed to be behind the theft on January 7.
In a brief encounter with deputies, the suspect was identified as Jenny Nguyen, whose pockets allegedly bulged with unlawfully obtained merchandise by the time of her arrest. She reportedly didn't manage to outwit the deputies who were on her trail. The incident that unfolded in the 21150 block of Kuykendahl Road resulted in Nguyen being taken into custody without further incident, as per Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
A subsequent investigation ensued shedding light on the situation. The items on Nguyen were estimated to be valued at approximately $140. It was clear that the merchandise was not acquired through lawful exchange. Nguyen was "arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Theft", per Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Following the booking procedure, the legal gears turned, ensuring due process as Nguyen's bond was set at a seemingly modest $100, this figure comes out of County Court 9, as seen in Nguyen's file. This marks another stride in local law enforcement's efforts to crack down on property crime as Constable Herman's team zeroes in on retail theft offenses.
