A pair of suspects were nabbed last Friday after allegedly trying to loot a local business in Harris County, deputies reported. Law enforcement responded to an emergency call about a theft at an establishment located on the 16700 block of the North Freeway, a scenario becoming all too familiar in the area's fight against property crime.
Constable Mark Herman's Office deputies arrived promptly on the scene to find, two individuals, one of whom was a 15-year-old boy with a warrant out for an unrelated felony regarding unauthorized use of a vehicle, the other adult identified as Sidney Crawford, also with an outstanding warrant for criminal mischief. This culminated in their arrest, as stated in a post on the Constable's official Facebook page.
The incident escalated when an analysis of the crime scene determined over $6,000 in property damage attributed to the attempted burglary. The juvenile, whose identity remains protected due to his age, is reportedly being held at the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center. Crawford, on the other hand, is facing judicial scrutiny for his alleged actions, having been booked into the Harris County Jail on his outstanding warrant, now compounded with charges of Felony Criminal Mischief.
