Houston Rapper "Viper" Accused of Chaining Up Woman for Years in House of Horrors

A shocking case has emerged from Harris County, Texas, where a man is facing charges of kidnapping a woman and imprisoning her in his garage for several years. Lee Carter, 52, was arrested and is now facing aggravated kidnapping charges after allegations surfaced of him holding a woman captive near South Union at his Perry Street residence, as FOX 26 Houston reported.

Despite getting out of the situation back in April, on Friday, Houston Police were back at home on a tip that the woman might still be there. The woman, originally seen panhandling while pregnant, alleged that Carter offered her assistance only to kidnap her, force her to take narcotics, and regularly assault her. "My heart goes out to the woman involved," HPD Commander Michael Collins stated, "She is a victim." Neighbors described Carter as quiet but noted suspicious activity, particularly at odd hours, according to an interview with nearby resident Jed Beights.

Court documents revealed disturbing details, stating that the victim was forced to live in squalor, without proper meals or the ability to shower regularly. She was found "extremely malnourished" and weighing around 70 pounds. According to KPRC 2, she was provided with only snacks for sustenance and was made to consume crack cocaine and pills, severely limiting her capacity to escape.

Police efforts to locate the woman have thus far come up short, following her previous escape attempts when she was recaptured by Carter and forcibly returned to the garage. After breaking a window in one desperate effort to get free, police say Carter boarded the windows to bar her escape, her makeshift living conditions were dire, including a non-flushing toilet and a dripping faucet. "She would call him her boyfriend. So, I mean, it was kind of a mutual weirdness, I guess," neighbor Jedediah Beights said, recounting Carter's own words about the women he kept.

Carter is reportedly also known as "Viper," a Houston rap artist, with several music videos on YouTube. With his bond set at $100,000, he faces serious legal repercussions if convicted. A public defender noted that Carter is a lifelong Houston resident and a real estate broker by profession and has seven children ranging in age. As of the last reports, the whereabouts of the woman and the potential offspring mentioned in the initial encounter remain unknown.
