A man was placed under arrest in the Glade River area after sparking a call about a suspicious person, according to a recent post by Constable Mark Herman's Office on Facebook. The incident unfolded in the 11700 block of Glade River Lane when the adult male was seen peering into vehicles. The authorities said, "Deputy Arguello with Constable Mark Herman's Office has an adult male in custody following a suspicious person call." They further detailed that the suspect attempted to flee on foot as deputies arrived, but was captured following a brief scuffle.
Constable Herman's Office commended the efforts, stating "Great work C4!" in their brief Facebook report of the incident which took place earlier this week. The arrest details are limited, but the situation was resolved without further escalation.
In a separate incident, a heavy police presence was reported in the 17900 block of Island Spring Lane. This was the response to another suspicious person's call, as documented on Constable Mark Herman's Facebook page. The post described an Asian male knocking on doors and looking into vehicles, also exhibiting erratic behavior while walking along the street.
A statement detailed the altercation saying, "Upon a female deputy arriving, the suspect physically assaulted her and evaded on foot." However, like earlier, the suspect's liberty was shortly-lived as he was quickly taken into custody. Whether these two incidents are linked is currently unspecified, but both men were apprehended due to the diligence of Constable Herman's deputies, as relayed through their official social media channel.
Details regarding the charges and identification of the individuals involved have yet to be disclosed to the public. Further information is anticipated as the investigations into both incidents continue.
