Chaos inside a quiet Harris County residence took an unexpected turn when a routine welfare check escalated into the arrest of a wanted felon. Deputies of Constable Mark Herman's office descended upon the 5000 block of Creekbridge Ct on January 20, following a call regarding a domestic dispute between a grandmother and her granddaughter. The altercation may have seemed like another family disagreement until the granddaughter attempted to throw deputies off her trail with false identification, a Harris County Constable's Office Facebook post detailed the incident.
The suspect, who initially misled law enforcement about her identity, was later exposed as Jasmine Andrews. A delve deeper into her background unveiled open warrants for drug possession and an unauthorized departure from a community correctional facility. Andrews' situation became direr when deputies found her to be in possession of Methamphetamine, raising the stakes of her encounter with the law.
The charges amassed against Andrews now included Failure to Identify, alongside the discovery that she was a fugitive harboring illegal substances. "Jasmine Andrews was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the warrants and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Fail to Identify - Fugitive. Her bond was set at $40,000.00 out of the 248th District Court." - Constable Mark Herman stated.
