BoomerJack's Grill & Bar Debuts in Webster, Eyes Expansion in Houston's Bustling Sports Bar SceneSource: Google Street View

BoomerJack's Grill & Bar opened its first Houston-area location on Feb. 19. Situated near an array of eateries and entertainment spots along the Gulf Freeway, this Texas chain is setting up shop next to popular neighbors like Twin Peaks and Chuy’s, as reported by the Houston Business Journal. BoomerJack's is spreading its wings from its Dallas-Fort Worth roots, with the enterprise eyeing further expansion in the Houston area.

The new sports bar inside is a sprawling 7,900 square feet, complemented by a 3,900-square-foot covered patio that's pet-friendly and equipped with closable garage door walls for year-round use, reflecting an understanding of the local climate. "Because of the humidity in Houston, we wanted to make sure we could use it year-round versus only using it a few months out of the year," Ryan Kelley, vice president of operations for On Deck Concepts, the company that owns BoomerJack’s, told the Houston Business Journal. Sports enthusiasts will likely appreciate the roughly 50 television screens festooned across the venue.

To celebrate its inaugural foray into the Houston market, BoomerJack's is offering up a special deal: $3 margaritas on National Margarita Day, according to the Houston Chronicle. Patrons can choose between frozen or on-the-rock draft margaritas, featuring signature Sauza Hacienda Silver Tequila and a unique rim of salt, sugar, and tajin, available in an assortment of flavors.

The food menu tempts with items like quesadillas, queso, hand-crafted sandwiches, and flatbreads. "The Triple B Burger is the food counterpart" to BoomerJack's signature margaritas, with a 12-inch giant of brisket, bacon, and beef stacked high and served on a pretzel roll, the Houston Chronicle details. In terms of location strategy, BoomerJack's targets family-friendly communities with a penchant for local and regional sports, a turf that Webster seems to fit right into. "We’re looking at the core base that are looking for their everyday place to hang out and watch any regional or national game where they can sit back and enjoy," Kelley said.
