
Dallas City Manager T.C. Broadnax called it quits on Tuesday after seven years at the helm, laying out his exit plan and hopes for a smooth transition in a statement. Broadnax, who has been a key figure in Dallas City Hall, expressed pride over his accomplishments and thanked the community for the chance to lead one of the country's largest cities.
"It has been my distinct honor and privilege to have served as Dallas City Manager for the last seven years," Broadnax stated according to the City of Dallas. He singled out his gratitude to the Dallas citizens, attesting to his contributions and achievements during his tenure. His departure marks a moment for the City Council to find a fresh start and to foster a more effective relationship with Dallas' mayor and council members moving forward.
Broadnax didn't shy away from discussing the future in light of his departure. "It is my hope that my departure provides the City Council an opportunity to reset, refocus, and transition to a new City Manager that continues to move the City forward," he mentioned in his announcement. The outgoing City Manager emphasized his commitment to the city's progress and ensuring that his exit won't negatively impact city operations.
Looking forward to the next chapter for Dallas, Broadnax assured residents that ongoing projects and services would be upheld during the transition. "I am committed to working with the City Council and leadership team to ensure the continuity of programs, projects, and services to this community are not negatively impacted," he promised in his statement, per the City of Dallas. Dallas' top administrator indeed seems set on leaving the city's administration in good hands, even as he steps out of the spotlight. He ended his announcement by extending his best wishes for Dallas' continued success.
