
The City of Euless is updating its public safety infrastructure with construction underway for a new Fire Station No. 2, designed to enhance emergency response capabilities in a rapidly growing area, the current facility built over three decades ago will be replaced by a modern, larger station located at the southeast corner of West Pipeline Road and Westpark Way, as reported by the City of Euless.
Spanning 19,000 square feet the project boasts a two-story building incorporating a three-story training tower and four apparatus bays. It also comes equipped with a state-of-the-art alerting system to facilitate better service for the community, with its placement about one-half mile north of the aging station, the new Fire Station is positioned to significantly improve response times for the district it serves. Fire Chief Chanc Bennett underscored the advantages of the new station, stating, "The new location of Station No. 2 will better serve the citizens of Euless by being closer to the bulk of District 2 service calls, which will shave off precious seconds of response time to most calls," according to the City of Euless.
Residents have been apprised of the expectation that the new building will not only be an operational fire station but will also encompass training components critical for the Fire Department's ongoing preparedness efforts, considering the aesthetics of its locale, the design promises to blend into the neighborhood, the scheduled completion date is set for 2025, signaling Euless's commitment to public safety amidst its continued development.
