San Antonio residents woke up to foggy conditions this Wednesday morning, but can expect the clouds to gradually clear up with temperatures reaching a high near 79 degrees. The fog, described as patchy before 9 am, should give way to clearer skies with a swift south wind blowing at a speed between 6 and 14 mph, gusts possibly hitting the 20 mph mark. This evening, city dwellers should anticipate increased cloudiness maintaining a mild temperature with a low around 61 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service forecast also suggests that Thursday will once again start with patchy fog between 7am and 8am before shifting to mostly cloudy conditions. However, it is expected to gradually become sunny, as temperatures are predicted to soar to quickly approach a high near 86 degrees. The light wind could to turn gusty, picking up speed between 11 and 14 mph with potential gusts as high as 20 mph.
Following the warming trend, Thursday night is projected to be mostly clear with lows dipping around 54 degrees. North northwest winds will persist, blowing between 8 and 18 mph, and gusts may ramp up to 26 mph. The narrative continues into Friday, where San Antonio's forecast from the National Weather Service paints a sunny day with highs near 74 degrees and northeast winds between 9 and 17 mph, possibly gusting as high as 25 mph.
As the week progresses, the weather takes a settled turn. "Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 50," states the National Weather Service, while the weekend outlook promises sunny days with highs creeping back into the mid-70s. Nights are to remain mostly clear, with temperatures comfortably hovering in the low 50s. Sunday's forecast describes a mostly sunny day, with the mercury rising to the low 80s.
The consistent pattern seems to hold through early next week with Monday and Tuesday looking at partly to mostly cloudy skies and day temperatures expected to reach mid-80s, while night's lows are forecast to rest in the low to mid-60s. Similarly, KSAT's weather report confirms the morning fog and cloudy conditions earlier today, predicting highs of 78 and 84 degrees for today and tomorrow, with no chances of rain in sight.
