Law enforcement is turning to the community for assistance in snagging a female suspect who allegedly made off with a haul of meat from a local shop. On Valentine's Day, the suspect reportedly carried out a heist at Casa Del Pueblo Meat Market, swiping chicken, fajitas, and ribeye - without paying a dime.
Harris County Constable's Office reports that the woman, described as either Hispanic or white, orchestrated a brazen theft, tucking away the meats into her purse as if it were her own pantry. The carnivorous caper took place in the 4400 block of Treaschwig Road, according to Constable Mark Herman's Office facebook post. The loot, totaling roughly $120, was filched after she distracted a cashier with a tale of a forgotten wallet.
After seemingly browsing the aisles, the suspect's heist culminated with a quick departure in a white four-door sedan, vanishing before she could be confronted. Video surveillance captured her not only snatching the meat she had ordered but also boldly taking two bags of meat from another shopper's cart as if shopping at the store involved no exchange of currency.
Constable Herman's office has issued a call for help to the public. "If you have any information regarding this case, or the identity of the suspect, you are urged to contact our dispatch at 281-376-3472 or your local law enforcement," Herman stated. With a clear image of the suspect spread across social media, and the police's plea echoing through the community, it's hoped that this carnivorous criminal will soon be on the chopping block of justice.
