Breaking into a farmers market has landed a duo behind bars after a swift response from local law enforcement in Harris County. Deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office apprehended two individuals, Nicholas Cerda and Tiffany Barganski, who were allegedly involved in a burglary at the Theis Farmers Market located at 17000 Stuebner Airline. In a late-night chase on February 27, the suspect fled on foot but it didn't take long for the authorities to catch up and make the arrest, as per Constable Herman's office.
Upon being detained, Cerda attempted to make a getaway before being quickly captured, which led to additional charges for evading law enforcement, while Barganski was discovered in a vehicle linked to the incident, a revelation that came during the thorough investigation conducted by the deputies, as noted in a Facebook post by Constable Herman. After the arrests were made, it was found that the property they trespassed upon was indeed Theis Farmers Market — a cornerstone for locals in search of fresh produce and goods.
Both suspects were taken into custody and faced their initial reckoning with the local judicial system; with charges laid, they found themselves booked in Harris County Jail. Tiffany Barganski's bond was set by the 208th District Court at $3,000.00. Nicholas Cerda's flight on foot resulted in a steeper consequence; the combined bond from County Court 12 and the 232nd District Court amounted to a heavier sum of $17,500.00. "They were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Burglary of a Building," the constable stated emphatically.
