A man has been cuffed for driving a hot car and having his pockets stuffed with crystal meth in Harris County. Constable Mark Herman's Office reports that on the last day of January, their deputies pulled over a vehicle on the 3800 block of FM 2920 Road. Behind the wheel was one Justin Williams Garcia, whose name rung up an active warrant for snatching a ride without permission.
It wasn't just a ghost car Garcia was rolling in, but the traffic stop turned drug bust when deputies discovered he was packing 10 grams of crystal methamphetamine. This led to Garcia’s immediate arrest. "Justin Williams Garcia was arrested and booked into a Harris County Jail, charged with Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle warrant and Possession of Controlled Substance," confirmed Herman in a statement to the precinct's Facebook page.
The alleged wheelman now sits in jail, the specifics of his bond and upcoming court date still up in the air. Garcia's collar adds to the tally of similar busts in the region as law enforcement continues to crack down on vehicle thefts and narcotics trafficking.
