Authorities have nabbed a woman accused of a violent assault in the Timber Forest area, her alleged crime discovered only after deputies were called to a disturbance and uncovered her existing warrant for assault. The incident occurred on the 4900 block of Lazy Timbers Drive, as confirmed by Constable Mark Herman's Office.
Deputies arrived at the scene on February 22 to find Candance Swanigan amidst a heated verbal altercation. The argument turned physical when she reportedly used a glass bottle to strike a male victim in the head, not once, but multiple times, inflicting pain and leaving visible marks on him. Despite the mayhem, Swanigan's past caught up to her – her record stained with an open Felony Warrant for Assault, as per the Constable's official report.
"Candance Swanigan was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant and charged with Aggravated Assault. Her bond and court, and bond information have not been set at this time," said Constable Mark Herman on his facebook post.
The details of Swanigan's altercation paint a grim picture of violence erupting in a seemingly quiet neighborhood. The male victim's identity and condition following the assault have not been disclosed, nor have the specific circumstances that led to the violent outbreak been detailed by authorities. Yet, it is clear that for the local community, accustomed to the tranquility of Lazy Timbers Drive, the event has likely shaken the foundation of their daily peace.
