
A violent Valentine's Day altercation has left two women injured and a man charged with aggravated assault, Houston police report. The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Nicholas Ford, was arrested following an incident at an apartment complex located at 3435 Walnut Bend Lane.
According to the City of Houston News release, the assault took place around 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday. Police arriving at the scene found the injured females, ages 25 and 21, and reported Ford had barricaded himself inside the apartment. The victims were quickly transported to an area hospital and are reportedly in stable condition.
HPD SWAT officers were summoned to hastily set up a perimeter before apprehending Ford, who sustained a knee laceration during the events leading up to his capture. After receiving medical treatment, Ford was booked into the Harris County Jail, with a booking photo made available in the news release.
Detectives from the HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division, V. Garza and S. Deroam, are investigating the circumstances that lead to the assault. Meanwhile, Ford faces serious legal repercussions as he is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 183rd State District Court.
