Traffic cops snagged a man for allegedly doctoring a temporary vehicle tag and not quite cooperating with law enforcement in Houston. Arturo Lopez, the driver in question, found himself in cuffs following a roadside pullover on the 18400 block of Atasca Woods Trace, as per the authorities.
Constable Mark Herman's deputies were just doing their job on February 6, when they decided to stop and subsequently inspect Lopez's vehicle — only to discover the tag was intentionally messed with. Turns out, the ride was also missing insurance. When asked to step out as the car was set to be towed, Mr. Lopez threw a wrench in the works by refusing, leading to what deputies describe as "a brief struggle" before he was extracted from the vehicle.
After the altercation, Arturo Lopez was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with tampering with a government document and interfering with the duties of a public servant," reported Constable Herman. The accused's bond was set at a stark $200.00 out of County Court 9, as the official further stated. This update came directly from a Facebook post published by Constable Herman's Precinct page.
