Residents of Lewisville and its neighboring cities are gearing up for a chance to build tighter communities at the Tri-City Neighborhood Summit. Set for Saturday, Feb. 24, from 8 a.m. to noon at Thrive, 1950 S. Valley Parkway, the summit invites locals to engage with city leaders and learn community-strengthening strategies.

This collaborative event is brought together by the City of Lewisville, the City of Coppell, and Town of Flower Mound. It offers residents an opportunity to connect with their neighbors and engage in dialogues facilitated by local leaders and industry experts. Attendees will have the privilege of hearing Lewisville Mayor TJ Gilmore, Flower Mound Mayor Derek France, and Coppell Mayor Wes Mays discuss the essence of good neighborliness and its impact on enhancing the quality of life within their cities.

As announced by the City of Lewisville, the summit's agenda includes four insightful sessions. Participants will get to "Discover the Gifts" in their community, assess neighborhood well-being, imagine new possibilities for improvement, and learn the art of difficult conversations, particularly in the parochial context of HOA conversations.

Among the roster of speakers, Jennifer Prophete, who serves as Director of Community Programming for The Hopeful Neighborhood Project, is set to be the keynote speaker. Also on the agenda is a "Neighborhood Leadership Panel" where experienced neighborhood and HOA leaders will share practical advice on fostering engagement, celebrating wins, and troubleshooting communal challenges.

This educational event comes at no cost, but attendees must RSVP. Those who sign up can expect free coffee and breakfast, with a lunch provided by In-N-Out Burger. This initiative aligns with the "Diverse and Thriving Neighborhoods" goal outlined in the Lewisville 2025 vision plan.
