Los Angeles residents can expect a bit of everything weather-wise in the coming days, with sunny spells, patchy fog, and the possibility of heavy rain as we edge closer to the weekend. According to the National Weather Service, today boasts a sunny sky with highs near 63, shifting winds turning from east-northeast to south-southwest through the day.
Tonight, Angelenos should prepare for possible patchy fog after 10pm, with the temperatures dipping to a low around 42, and a gentle east wind persisting throughout. The fog is expected to linger into Wednesday morning before giving way to mostly sunny conditions and a high around 64 degrees; the south-southwest wind is maintaining a presence at a light 5 mph, and then on Wednesday night, the clouds roll back in, with nighttime temperatures standing at about 47 degrees, the winds will be twisting north northeast after a brief westerly stint.
For those planning ahead, Thursday offers partly sunny skies and a peak temperature near 67, with winds once again alternating direction—a northeast breeze making a switch to a southwestern flow. As we look towards Friday, the forecasts suggest a return to clearer skies and a pleasant high near 70, while Friday night's mostly cloudy conditions foretell a low around 51.
However, the weekend could bring a shift, starting with a "slight chance of rain after 10am" on Saturday, said National Weather Service predictions, the day's high striving for 66 while Saturday evening promises to intensify that chance into more likely showers, the temperatures hovering around 52 degrees. Sunday and Washington's Birthday are slated to continue the wet trend, with rain likely and highs in the low 60s, the rain could turn heavy at night when temperatures only slightly dip to the low 50s.
