Los Angeles Police Seek Public's Help to Locate Suspect in Attempted Child Abduction on Virgil Avenue

A four-year-old child was nearly abducted in broad daylight from a store at 620 S. Virgil Ave, Suite 100, but a quick confrontation by the child's parent foiled the attempt. According to a grim LAPD alert on X, the horrifying incident occurred on February 25th at approximately 12:40 pm, when an unidentified female suspect grabbed the child from behind and carried him outside against his will.

The suspect described as a 40-year-old Black female, approximately 5'05" and 150 lbs, wearing a brown jacket, black shirt, blue jeans, and black-and-white shoes, put the child down only after the parent stepped in and then fled the scene on foot leaving the family shaken, the police force urgently seeks any information that could lead to her apprehension. The Los Angeles Police Department, particularly the Olympic Division, is asking for the public's assistance in tracking down the suspect anyone who might recognize the woman portrayed in the alert or has knowledge of the episode to get in touch.

The LAPD has disseminated a community alert bulletin citing the suspect's modus operandi, urging residents to exercise caution and to report any sightings or encounters with the individual in question directly by calling 911.
