The City of Los Angeles takes action to fully support residents hit by the recent storms, announcing the opening of assistance centers to provide much-needed help to those affected. Angelenos from all walks of life - homeowners, renters, and business owners, are advised to come forward with the necessary documentation to avail information and support services offered by several government agencies and local nonprofits at the Local Assistance Centers (LACs).

Braving the aftermath of nature's fury, the community is encouraged to quickly take advantage of this service. "Our recovery began the second the storm started," Mayor Bass stated, emphasizing the city's proactive stance. "I hope Angelenos join us in getting the word out about these centers so that Angelenos are aware about this important opportunity for assistance," Mayor Bass encouraged, as reported by the City of Los Angeles Mayor's Office.

Official communication has provided the schedule and locations for the LACs, starting with the Mid-Valley Senior Center, open on Thursday, February 15, from noon to 8 PM located at 8825 Kester Avenue. Following, the South Los Angeles Sports Activity Center will serve residents on Friday, February 16, from noon to 8 PM at 7020 S Figueroa Street. Lastly, the Pan Pacific Senior Center will open its doors on Saturday, February 17, from 11 AM to 7 PM at 141 S Gardner Street.

The city also invites residents to actively report any mudslides or debris via 311 or to use the MyLA311 app for quick service requests. They commit to continue to diligently gather information to help Angelenos with additional assistance as our recovery continues.
