Chaos erupted in the streets of San Antonio as a man was attacked with a machete just blocks away from Bexar County Jail, according to FOX San Antonio. The bloodshed occurred around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday near North Medina Street and W Houston Street, where police found the victim suffering from cuts to his leg and palm. "The victim told police that he was walking when he was approached by the suspect. They started arguing when the suspect pulled out a machete and attacked him." FOX San Antonio reported.

The suspect, whose identity has yet to be disclosed, was arrested nearby and is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The victim was swiftly transported to the hospital with what has been described as non-life-threatening injuries. In a separate but equally shocking case, a machete was wielded in a violent dispute on the city's West Side, resulting in a man nearly losing his hand. This brutal altercation unfolded around 11 p.m. at a home in the 1800 block of Mossy Creek Drive.

According to KSAT, the 31-year-old male victim was visiting a woman's residence when she was separated from her husband, who showed up and found them together. In a fit of rage, the husband launched an attack on the other man with a machete, nearly severing his hand. The attack nearly cut the victim’s hand off, KSAT disclosed. The suspect was detained at the scene, and the victim was listed in serious condition at an area hospital.
