Stepping into Sugar Land Town Square Plaza, locals and visitors alike can now admire a new mural featuring the formidable Twisted Steel, a bull renowned in the Professional Bull Riders circuit and owned by none other than UFC President Dana White. This piece of street art, crafted by local artist Mark DeLeon of Art Museum TX, stands as a testament to the bull's legacy and the Unleash the Beast tour's return to Houston after a prolonged break of five years, as reported by the Houston Chronicle.

The mayor pro-tem of Sugar Land district 2, Naushad Kermally, remarked at the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, which saw a convocation of elected officials and PBR representatives, "We have a lot of things here in Sugar Land, but I don't think we've had a bull," reflecting the novelty the mural brings to the local area. The sentiment was shared in a BNN Breaking interview, where the bull's return to PBR’s Unleash the Beast lineup, now four times in this season, was highlighted.

Twisted Steel showcased his formidable strength once again at the recent Unleash the Beast tour stop in Houston, delivering a rapid 3.2-second buck-off that landed him a 42.75 bull score. This feat, along with the mural reveal, captures the local enthusiasm for both the sports event and the burgeoning art scene in Sugar Land.

About the mural, which measures an impressive 10x20 feet, DeLeon said that his goal was to embody Twisted Steel’s essence, portraying the bull's dynamism. "These brushstrokes, they're very dramatic," DeLeon said, according to the Houston Chronicle. "I wanted people to look at and say, ‘wow this was hand painted.' This looks like someone left their imprint on here. In some areas, it's blurry. In some areas, it's a little bit scratchy. But that's just my style."

According to Suzanne Whatley, Sugar Land council member for district 1, Art Museum TX's work with local artists, including painting traffic boxes and creating artwork in parks and recreation areas, was celebrated. “I want to talk about Art Museum TX, you guys are doing an amazing job," said Whatly in the celebration ceremony, as reported by the BNN Breaking article, supporting the local art community's connection with the city through such public artwork initiatives.
