A 15-year-old Parkland teen has been arrested after a violent spree that culminated in the alleged beating of an 18-year-old and significant vehicular damage. The Broward Sheriff's Office reported that the incidents took place near Trails End Road on Feb. 17, just around midnight, with the group assailants reportedly fleeing the scene on a golf cart, as reported by WSVN.

According to authorities, the victim had been attacked after he confronted the perpetrators who were hiding in bushes, presumably after hearing an object hitting his car, however, when the golf cart began to escape, the victim managed to jump on the back before he was violently assaulted and robbed by the teen and at least two others who were on the cart at the time, information detailed by a Parkland Talk report.

The teenager, whose identity has not been released due to his minor status, was apprehended after he and his guardian reportedly went to the local sheriff’s office to collect personal items left at the scene, leading to his arrest on multiple charges including aggravated battery, felony criminal mischief, and grand theft. "Not to hurt anyone, just for fun," the suspect allegedly said in regard to his pastime of hurling rocks and eggs at cars, a statement obtained by WSVN.

The victim, meanwhile, sustained multiple injuries during the assault while his vehicle suffered extensive damage during the incident, detectives continue to search for the remaining suspects involved, and members of the community with any knowledge on the case are encouraged to come forward; Broward Sheriff’s Office urges those with information to contact BSO Detective Robert Rutkowski or to reach out anonymously via Broward Crime Stoppers, as noted by Parkland Talk.
