A 12-year-old boy is recuperating after being shot multiple times in a disturbing incident in Atlanta. Officers of the Atlanta Police Department were summoned to the scene at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW and Hamilton E. Holmes Drive NW around 6 p.m. following reports of a shooting, as per FOX 5 Atlanta.
Upon arrival, authorities found the child suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest and arm. Despite his critical injuries, the boy, who has not been identified, was alert and communicating with medics before he was taken to the hospital. Speaking with the officers, the young victim was able to provide some information before being rushed off for medical treatment.
