San Antonio residents are looking at a variable mix of clouds and scattered showers as the week progresses, with increasing cloud cover today leading up to potential isolated and scattered showers later on in the week, according to weather forecasts from the National Weather Service and KSAT.
For Valentine's Day, San Antonians are experiencing temperatures peaking around 66 degrees with those gentle east southeast breezes they're seeing winds between 3 and 10 mph as the day progresses, tonight forecasters are predicting patchy fog after 4 am with lows hovering in the upper 50s. The KSAT weather team indicates an expected high of 63 degrees, and although clouds are increasing, the overall chance of rain remains low at zero percent.
Going into Thursday, the National Weather Service cautions commuters about potential patchy fog before 10 am, clouds will stick around with highs reaching the low 70s, and then there's an about-face as the evening brings a 50 percent chance of showers; this follows through to Friday, providing consistent cloud cover and again a 50 percent chance of rainfall. KSAT's forecast too agrees on the cloudy scenario with a slightly warmer edge at a 70-degree high and introduces a 30 percent chance of isolated showers for the area.
Heading into the weekend, the skies partially clear up giving a partly sunny Saturday with a breezy high near 55 degrees as reported by the National Weather Service while KSAT presents a chilly night with a low of around 45 degrees but keeping in the wake of scattered showers from Friday's 50 percent prediction of the rain, it's part of a cooling trend indeed that is preparing us for a notably sunnier Sunday with highs forecast to reach 60 degrees and continuing into Washington's Birthday with an expected high of 70.
As the week rounds out, San Antonians can expect mostly sunny skies Tuesday with temperatures climbing, both sources highlight a significant warm-up with Natinal Weather Service pointing to a near 78-degree high while KSAT keeps residents updated on the visibility and humidity levels which may affect those Valentine's Day plans, as well as the communities commute routines, and outdoor activities.
