More than three years after a chilling double homicide shocked a Hesperia neighborhood, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's detectives are making a renewed plea to the public to come forth with any information that might help crack the unsolved case. On September 17, 2020, Christina Gamboa, 45, and Raymond Gonzales, 41, were found shot dead in a home on the 15000 block of Muscatel Street in what police described as a deliberate act of violence. The authorities are now looking to potentially turn new leads into a breakthrough, as reported by the SBSD - Headquarters.
As part of this ongoing investigation, law enforcement has decided to actively push to seek further assistance, circulating photos of the victims in hopes that someone will step forward with information. Detective Malcolm Page from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail is the point of contact, eager to receive any tip, no matter how insignificant it might seem. "Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to call Detective Page," according to the SBSD - Headquarters.
San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Shannon D. Dicus has been clear about the department's commitment to solving this case. Persistence in the face of dead-ends is essential to eventually uncover the truth behind what happened to Gamboa and Gonzales. Detective Page and Sergeant Jerry Moreno have been tasked to follow up diligently on all leads provided by the public. The hope is that, even years later, someone will find to courage to speak up and provide the missing link needed to close this tragic chapter for the family and friends of the victims.
