Santa Clarita's The Cube Invites Students to Friday Night Ice Skating with School ID DealsSource: Google Street View

Heat your Friday nights because The Cube is offering local junior high and high school students a cool way to chill. If you're a student in Santa Clarita Valley, your school ID is the golden ticket to discounted fun on the ice at The Cube – Ice and Entertainment Center | Powered by FivePoint Valencia (27745 Smyth Drive), according to the  City of Santa Clarita.

Starting at a mere $10 for entry and zilch for skate rental, the center invites students to glide into savings and fun on select Friday nights from 7:30-9:30 p.m., the schedule features a mix of schools each week so everyone gets a shot at the ice, and when your feet need a break after all the twirls and spins, The Grille on the second floor will be serving up hot pizza, steaming hot chocolate, sandwiches, and more to fuel the next round of icy adventures.

Here are the dates and participating institutions on the roll call: February 23 brings Academy of the Canyons and Bowman High School to the party, March showcases a cascade of schools starting with Canyon High School and Sierra Vista Junior High on the first, a week later Valencia High School and Rio Norte Junior High take the spot, followed by Saugus High School and Arroyo Seco Junior High on the 15th, Hart High School and Placerita Junior High get their turn on the 22nd, and the month rounds off with West Ranch High School and Rancho Pico Junior High on the 29th, as per the City of Santa Clarita.

Come April, the coolness continues with Golden Valley High School and La Mesa Junior High hitting the ice on the 12th, and Castaic High School and Castaic Middle School students lace up their skates on the 19th, for the full scoop on this shindig and details on how to participate, visit The Cube's official website or phone in at (661) 257-CUBE.
