A disturbance call spiraled into an unexpected arrest when authorities nabbed a man on outstanding warrants for a hoax bomb scare. Deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office descended on the Hampton Inn in the 19100 block of Moon Trail after receiving reports of a suspicious man who was overstaying his welcome.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the individual, identified as Jason Bishop, who sparked the hotel's concerns. It became quickly apparent that Bishop's troubles ran deeper than a simple refusal to vacate premises, the suspect was also wanted for leaving a hoax bomb at another location, officials said.
Details on Bishop's alleged antics were shared on the official Facebook page of Precinct 4. According to the post, Bishop's refusal to leave resulted in his arrest and the subsequent discovery of his active warrant for the hoax bomb incident.
"Jason Bishop was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, for the open warrant. His bond was set at $5,010.00 out of County Court 13," stated Constable Mark Herman. Precinct 4's swift action averted any further disturbances or potential threats that could arise from the suspect's previous activities.
No additional information was immediately released about the nature of the hoax bomb, or the circumstances leading to Bishop's presence at the hotel.
