A Texas Department of Public Safety Aircraft Pilot was left blinded after miscreants reportedly illuminated the aircraft with a laser. The dangerous prank led to quick action by authorities in the 11300 block of Lodge Run Lane.

After the pilot reported the incident, deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office were swift to arrive on the scene. Their search culminated in the detention of two suspects, identified as Leonel Vasquez and Artemio Gonzales. It was disclosed that one of them had a history with the law, as Gonzales was found to quickly have an active warrant for Tampering with Government Record.

A release on Constable Mark Herman's Facebook page stated, "They were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Leonel Vasquez was charged with Illumination of Aircraft by Intense Light and Artemio Gonzales was charged with the warrant." The suspects now face their charges as they await further legal proceedings.

The legal ramifications for such offenses can be severe, given the potential danger to those on board and in the vicinity. The bond amounts and court dates for Vasquez and Gonzales have not yet to be set. The ramifications of their actions will soon unfurl in the justice system as they are held accountable for endangering an aircraft and its crew.
