A black Lexus and two Dodge Rams—one gray and one white—were involved in a deadly traffic accident late Monday night at a Moreno Valley intersection, leaving two dead in a tragedy that unfolded before local deputies and good Samaritans.
The collision, which occurred around 10:35 p.m. at Kitching Street and Cactus Avenue, resulted in significant injuries for the Lexus driver who died at the scene, and the white Dodge Ram's occupants were medically evaluated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies found that the impact from the collision caused the gray Dodge Ram to careen into a nearby flood channel; a passenger was rescued by bystanders and taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, the driver of the gray Ram was later found dead by the Swift Water Rescue Team in the city of Perris after a search operation.
