
Violence struck Vacaville early Sunday morning as the local police responded to reports of gunfire in a residential area. The Vacaville Police Department disclosed that several calls came in shortly before 2:00am regarding shots fired in the 1500 block of Alamo Drive. Officers were dispatched to the scene, finding evidence confirming that a shooting had taken place.
While conducting their initial investigation, a local hospital reported to authorities of receiving a patient presenting with gunshot wounds. The nature of the wounds was not disclosed, and the condition of the victim remains unknown.
The police have indicated that the incident appears to be isolated, stressing that there is no continuing danger to the community. However, they have appealed to the public for any information that could forward their investigation.
