Ann Arbor police are on the hunt for a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman outside her home over the weekend, in a brazen attack that occurred at around 2:15 a.m. on Saturday. Law enforcement officials informed The Detroit News that the incident took place in the 1000 block of Vaughn Street, a residential area near Packard Street.
According to reports, the victim was attempting to enter her residence when an unidentified male approached her from behind, pulled her toward him, and then proceeded to grope her. In an act of self-defense, the woman reportedly yelled at the suspect and slapped him, prompting him to flee the scene. The description of the assailant, as provided by the victim to the authorities, identifies him as a roughly 6-foot-tall white male with short brown hair. As the search intensifies, Ann Arbor police have called upon the community for assistance, urging anyone with information to come forward.
Efforts to locate the suspect immediately following the incident proved unsuccessful, despite a prompt search conducted by officers.
