Chronic Tacos Expands in Los Angeles with New Franchises in Redondo Beach and WestchesterSource: Facebook/Chronic Tacos

Los Angeles taco enthusiasts have cause to celebrate, as Chronic Tacos announces the launch of two new franchise locations in Redondo Beach and Westchester, bringing its California-inspired Mexican fare to a broader swath of the metro area. Drawing a local healthcare expert into the taco trade, Cynthia Lidy, who boasts 19 years in the medical field, is taking the helm of both establishments, per news released by What Now Los Angeles.

Lidy's transition from healthcare to the hospitality industry may seem an abrupt career pivot, but she is poised to quickly establish a fan base in these neighborhoods. With an expressed enthusiasm for local traditions and a dedication to providing a familial atmosphere—she eagerly welcomed patrons to the Redondo Beach spot on March 2. The Westchester location, planned to open later this summer, aims to echo its sister site's community-centric vibes. "I’m thrilled to bring Chronic Tacos to Redondo Beach and Westchester," Lidy told What Now Los Angeles.

The company, which has been offering their fresh, authentic take on Mexican cuisine since 2002, now operates over 50 locations in not only the U.S. but Canada and Japan as well. At both the existing and the planned locations, Chronic Tacos promises a full spectrum of traditional and non-traditional Mexican dishes. These range from the expected tacos and burritos to the California burrito and Chronic Fries, accommodating a variety of dietary preferences, disclosed Restaurant Magazine.

Aligning with Chronic Tacos' community-forward ethos, Lidy is set to continue her personal legacy of community service, supporting local teams and events through her new entrepreneurial avenue. Her penchant for local sports—particularly, Lidy plans to assist Pop Warner football—speaks to her ongoing investment in area youth and recreational programs in a bid to ingrain her businesses as neighborhood staples. “It’s not just about serving delicious food; it’s about creating a gathering place for people to enjoy, connect, and build lasting memories,” she asserted in a statement obtained by What Now Los Angeles.

Chronic Tacos' CEO, Michael Mohammed, has publicly endorsed Lidy's advent into the company's family of franchises. "Cynthia’s dedication to community service and her commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience align perfectly with the values of Chronic Tacos," Mohammed noted in an interview with What Now Los Angeles. The company ethos, which encompasses a laid-back SoCal attitude and a commitment to quality and authenticity, seems to be the guiding beacon for these new ventures under Lidy's stewardship.
