The White Settlement Police Department was on the verge of issuing a Silver Alert as the situation began to grow more urgent. Taking a proactive measure, officers decided to quickly check the missing man's license plate through the Flock Safety Alert system. This system, designed to enhance safety and provide rapid responses to such incidents, pinpointed the man's last known location at the intersection of Mansfield Highway and E. Seminary Drive. "This certainly brought relief to the man's worried family and showcased another tool when using license plate readers to locate a missing man," the White Settlement Police Department relayed in a statement on their Facebook page.
Officer Jimmy Polozani of the Fort Worth PD was instrumental in this reunion, his efforts leading to the discovery of the man at an Auto Zone parking lot on Mansfield Hwy. This success story is not only a testament to the effectiveness of technology in policing but also to the collaboration between different departments.
Upon finding the elderly man, Corporal Tibbit facilitated the process of smoothly reuniting him with his family. He transported the man's wife to the location, ensuring that she could accompany her husband back home safely.
