As the academic year winds down, parents in Fort Worth looking for summer engagement for their kids can consider Camp Fort Worth. The city's initiative provides a blend of fun and learning at various community centers, intended for youngsters between the ages of 5-13. Activities are diverse, guaranteeing each day brings a new adventure for the attendees.

Registration for the camp is now officially open, as announced by the City of Fort Worth. A current community center membership card is required for all participants. An attractive feature of this year's camp is the array of discounts and scholarships up for grabs, making it accessible for families from different economic backgrounds. According to the City of Fort Worth, there's an opportunity to register and secure a free week of camp if the payment is made in full by May 31.

The camp is scheduled to kick off on June 10 and will run for eight consecutive weeks until August 2. It's designed to cater to busy parents too, with activities running from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Notably, the weekly cost of the camp is $65, which covers registration, and camp T-shirts but not the field trips.

A boon for area families is that all Fort Worth residents 17 and under are eligible for free annual membership at the City community centers. The "Molly Deal" offers one free week of camp, though parents must settle the balance for the entire eight weeks by the end of May. A scholarship rate is available at $35 per week, while families enrolling more than one kid can avail themselves of a multi-child discount at $60 per week — slashed off $5 from the standard rate. City employees can get the same reduced rate.
