A tragic tale of loss may see a pivotal turn as the grand jury is set to decide on possibly new charges in the double murder of Savanah Soto and Matthew Guerra, who were expecting the soon-to-be-born Baby Fabian. This development, revealed by the Guerra family, highlights the ongoing pursuit of justice for the three victims. The family remains hopeful that these potential charges can propel the legal process forward, FOX San Antonio reported.
In related news, the bond for Ramon Preciado, 53, one of the suspects involved in the aftermath of the murders, was reduced by a Texas judge. Preciado, facing charges for his alleged role in helping his son conceal the bodies of Soto and Guerra, had his bail decrease from $600,000 to $450,000 after the court's ruling. His son, Christopher Ray Preciado, 19, remains under custody along with alleged accomplice Myrta Romanos, who also had her bond reduced, News 4 San Antonio reported.
The couple was reported missing in late December after both families lost contact with them. Soto and Guerra's bodies were discovered on December 26 in the parking lot of an apartment complex, inside a gray Kia Optima belonging to Guerra. In the wake of the harrowing discovery, a CLEAR Alert issued for Soto had provided a detailed description of the same vehicle, leading to its eventual location by a resident of the Northwest Side apartment complex.
