According to officials, the altercation took place on March 10 and rapidly escalated when Rivera pulled a knife. The constables were able to swiftly act and detain him before further harm could be done." Jesse Rivera was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. His bond was set at $15,000.00 out of the 248th District Court." said Constable Mark Herman. 

Following the investigation, adequate evidence was found to charge Rivera with one of the more serious offenses in the state's penal code. His trial date is yet to be announced, as authorities continue to further piece together the circumstances of the assault.
