Deputies from Harris County Precinct 4 pulled over a suspected drunk driver earlier this week, in a stop that brought a 0.134 and 0.136 BAC reading, which is well above the legal limit. The authorities conducted the traffic stop on March 2 on the 19600 block of Rippling Brook Way, where they encountered the driver, Wesley Abrams.
Abrams, who displayed clear signs of intoxication, underwent Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, leading to breath samples confirming his impairment. "Wesley Abrams was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated," according to Constable Mark Herman's Facebook post. His bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 16.
The incident and arrest were detailed in a post on the Constable Mark Herman's Facebook page. A public record of the event, it serves as a reminder of the ongoing issue of driving under the influence and the law enforcement's commitment to keeping the roads safe.
Driving while intoxicated remains a serious offense in Texas, where the legal blood alcohol concentration (BAC) limit is 0.08. Abrams's BAC readings were significantly higher, leading to swift actions by the precinct's deputies. The ease of his $100 bond has not been elaborated upon, nor have further details of his arrest.
