A man has been nabbed by law enforcement after breaking into a home and assaulting a woman, officials said. The incident unfolded in northwest Harris County, where deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office made the arrest following a disturbance call on March 16. Manuel Garcia, the accused, allegedly engaged in a verbal altercation with a woman outside her residence before forcibly entering her home and assaulting her.

The assault took place after the victim retreated to the sanctuary of her home on the 24600 block of Zube Road and shut the door behind her. Garcia, defying the boundary between public discord and private violation, then entered without permission, which is when the assault occurred. The homeowners eventually managed to get the suspect out of the house, and he took off in his vehicle. Police located Garcia after a search, as reported by Constable Herman's Facebook post.

"Manuel Garcia was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Assault. His bond was set at $15,000.00 out of the 177th District Court," said Constable Mark Herman.
