A rowdy scene in Harris County led to the arrest of a woman accused of assaulting a peace officer. Deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office were called to a disturbance in the 15200 block of Estrella West yesterday, where they encountered an intoxicated woman later identified as Journey Black, according to officials.
Upon their arrival, deputies were met with Black who reportedly became belligerent and refused to follow even simple commands. While trying to safely detain her, she is said to have aggressively resisted and supposedly struck a deputy in the face with an elbow, initiating pain.
In a statement released on Facebook, Constable Mark Herman announced, "Journey Black was arrested and booked into Harris County Jail, charged with Assault on a Peace Officer. Her bond and court information have not been set at this time."
