A woman was slapped with terroristic threat charges after creating a commotion at a local Jack in the Box, authorities have reported. Deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a disturbance call at the fast-food chain on Holzworth Road on March 14, where they detained April Joy Stevenson.
Caught up in a ruckus that had her on the wrong side of the law, Stevenson allegedly threatened the staff with physical harm when they asked her to leave, a statement from Precinct 4's Facebook page said. Having been previously warned to stay away from the establishment, the suspect found herself in custody once again.
"April Stevenson was arrested and booked into Harris County, charged with Terroristic Threat. Her bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 2," Constable Mark Herman was quoted on the precinct’s Facebook page.
The incident raised eyebrows among patrons, prompting a swift reaction from the police. Given to Stevenson was a preceding criminal trespass warning, making this confrontation a repeat offense. Specified details of the altercation weren't released, but the charge could spell serious legal trouble for the accused.
